The Shooting Drill – Bombing Series is a high-volume shooting drill where players rotate quickly through spots, simulating rapid-fire shots from various distances. It builds shooting endurance, focus, and tempo under fatigue.
Remember in part to the wheel of shot ‘Waterfall’, with the difference that there are no passes or rotations of players from one row to another.
Objectives

- Automate shooting mechanics.
- Perform volume shooting.
- Work shot after pot.
- Influence at work in support of the stop prior to the shooting.
Recommended age

- From 8 years onwards (Minibasket: categories, benjamin and fry).
- More suitable for large Basket.
Number of players

- From 6 players on. You can have a team with a player (in this case does not affect the development of the exercise).
- Can be grouped for 2 3 and 4 teams (depending on the number of players and the available space).
Recommended time

- Recommended time: Rounds of 2 minutes.
- It is recommended to do 3 rounds.
Equipment and facilities

- Good idea to have a ball for the player, in case you have sufficient material and/or in case of no restrictions on the use of the material due to COVID-19, or similar (see the article on games adapted to the COVID-19)
- Half-pitch (although you can extend to court as a whole).Minimum 4 balls if they are a total of 6 players. If there are more players, we recommend a minimum of 6 balls, keeping 3 balloons minimum for each group.
Initial layout and description of the Shooting Drill – Bombing Series
Are distributed to the players in 3 groups, forming each group a row in india, with the first players are placed in 45 ° left, header and 45 ° right.
The coach gives the signal of the beginning of the year and the first of each row comes out to the ring giving it a pot to stand up and throw to the basket. After the shot, the player will auto-rebotea and is put back in the row. In much the first player has made the shot, goes to the next row.
Notes:
- It is very important that both groups ‘sing’ their baskets aloud to keep score.
- The coach must be placed in one of two baskets to have a global vision and control that what I ‘sing’ the groups corresponds to the real account of baskets.
- It is recommended to make several rounds because the dynamic is simple and players ALWAYS like to throw in.
Variants
- It is thrown from the line of 3 points or pull within three, but outside of the area.
- It makes a certain kind of stop.
- It made a certain change of hand before making the stop.
- Baskets come clean are worth 1 more point.
- It makes a feint pass, out, or shot before shooting.
- After throwing away, going toward the other basket to make exercise on the court as a whole.
- You can distribute the players in two teams
- Each team pulls in a half court or,
- Half of each team’s strip on a half court.
