Initial layout and description of the 3-on-1 – 5-Second Drill

The 3 attackers should resolve without pot in less than 5 seconds with a triple, release 2, or input to the basket/mate. The defender must do everything possible to avoid it. After the trip, back in out-jogged to not to clog the subsequent waves. Note: in the case of more than 4 you can do the following rotations:

  • 5: depart 3×1 doing back and forth, the 5 expected. When the group finishes the back, 5 will come out with the ball next to the two that didn’t throw and the shot will defend.
  • 6: depart 3×1 doing back and forth. 5 and 6 are waiting. When the group finishes the lap, 5 and 6 will come out with the ball. The one who gave the last pass before the end is incorporated as an attacker and ended defends.
  • 7: depart 3×1 doing back and forth. 5, 6 and 7 come to expect. When the group finishes the lap, 5, 6 and 7 shall they come out with the ball. The ending defends.
  • 8: two groups of 3×1 and three options for working the density of the exercise:
    • Making the turn on the outside jogging. Next group comes out when you finish the first.
    • Making the round trip. Next group comes out when the first one has returned.
    • Doing the back and waiting. When e! the first group has made the first leg, the second it comes out. When the second group to finish the first leg, the first group starts the spin. Defend the shot in the back (recommended for larger groups and/or self-employed).
  • 9: when you come back the first group, leaving the other 4. At the end of the return of this second wave, the 9 is not out yet it is incorporated with the last two attackers who didn’t throw and ended defends. The defending becomes the new 9 and restarts the rotation.
  • 10: when you come back the first group, leaving the other 4. At the end of the return of this second wave, the 9 and 10 come out with the one who gave the last pass and ended defends. And restart the rotation.
  • 11: get a group of 4. The other 4 and the return of this second group, 9, 10 and 11 attack and defend to the last ending of the previous wave.
  • 12: three groups:
    • Making the turn on the outside jogging. Next group comes out when you finish the previous one.
    • Making the round trip. Next group comes out when the previous one has returned.
    • Doing the back and waiting. When e! the first group has made the first leg, the second it comes out. When the second group to finish the round, leaves the third group. When the third group has made the trip, the first group starts the spin. Defend the shot in the back (recommended for larger groups and/or self-employed).
