Initial layout and description of the 2-on-2 – Crossed 4-Corners Drill
Make 4 rows in each corner of the half court. Players are placed in such a way that your partner will be the person holding the diagonal opposite.
The exercise begins with the coach making the ball bounce in the center of the half court. How much the ball is out of the hands of the coach, the 4 players will come out for the ball from the centre and from there will play the 2×2. The exercise is resolved in one of two ways:
- The attackers make basket.
- The defenders steal before shot, or capture the rebound after shot.
Variants
- To set a maximum of pots by a player.
- To set a maximum number of passes.
- You have to solve in a given time with countdown (7-5 seconds).
- The attacker 1 (player 3 in explanation) is not obliged to give the pass.
- The attacker 1 (player 3 in explanation), you must start with pot.
- There is that end with shots inside the bulb.
- There is that end with shots of 3.
- To give continuity to the exercise by the defenders can attack if they retrieve the ball, taking the ball out of the triple and attacking.
- By varying the arrangement of the output of the 4 players with:
- ‘Exercise 2×2 – 4 corners front’
- ‘Exercise 2×2 – 4 corners crusades’
- You can incorporate the variant of ‘2×2 – Partner mysterious’
Note: all variants are combinable.
