This unpredictability fosters quick adaptation, non-verbal communication, and spacing awareness—ideal for developing on-court chemistry and improvisation.

Number of players

- From 4 players forward.
Recommended time

- Recommended time: 6-8 minutes (you can add a few variants of the equator temporary or last third of exercise time).
Equipment and facilities

- Minimum 1 ball.
- A half Basketball court.
- If you have pitch, a whole can take advantage of the two half courts and have 3 pairs in each half (two playing and the other resting).
- Or you can reward the defense, giving the option of playing towards the other half in case of recovery.
Initial layout and description of the 2-on-2 – Mystery Partner Drill
Make 2 couples to start the 2×2.
Start the 2×2. In how much a steal or a rebound (either defensive or offensive), all players, whether or not they have the ball, they must get out of the line of 3 points.
The player with the ball, you will go to one of the 3 players without the ball and to whom it will pass it will be his new partner. The other two who did not receive the pass and defend, having to decide quickly who defends who in function of their respective placements (or guidelines set by the trainer).
Variants
- To set a maximum number of pots per player.
- To set a maximum number of passes and/or boat to solve the 2×2.
- Solve in a given time with countdown (7-5 seconds).
- To return to play the 2×2 after theft or rebound:
- it is enough that everyone gets out of the area for 3 seconds.
- the player who recovered the ball should go up to the circle of half-court and give the pass to the companion that you want to play.
Note: all variants are combinable.
