1-on-1 Drill – Dribble, Shot, Rebound & Sideline Outlet Pass

The 1-on-1 Drill – Dribble, Shot, Rebound & Sideline Outlet Pass is an ideal drill to work several foundations together.
In addition, you get a continuity in the actions.

Objectives

  • Practice the closure of bounce.
  • Inculcate the habit to get the ball past the band (Reception and vision of the game).
  • Work confidence of the pot in the 1×1.

Recommended age

  • From 10 years onwards (Minibasket: category alevín).
    • More suitable for large Basket.

Number of players

  • From 6 players on to the 1×0.
  • To have opposition in all the roles, they have to be 12.

Note: In case of be odd, can you leave it to a player pulling Free Kick or Triple (or be replaced).

Placed 2 players to bounce off of each basket, 1 pair of players in the band left every half-pitch, and 2 other couples, each coming to header so that the attacker of each pair pull up to the basket.

Description of the 1-on-1 Drill – Dribble, Shot, Rebound & Sideline Outlet Pass

The player with the ball throws to the basket closest to you.
The Players that are below the ring, fighting for the Rebound. Once caught the Rebound, the player in possession of the ball will look for a pass to the band.
Very important to work a Pass over the top of the head and Pass to a hand. In the event that the receiver of the band is on the dial, you can play back door and the pin to make a Pass of baseball.
The player who was in the band works reception. Once you get to receive, play 1×1 until you get to the half court and looking for a new space shooting.
In the half court will be other players to repeat the same sequence.

Variants of the 1-on-1 Drill – Dribble, Shot, Rebound & Sideline Outlet Pass

  • You may request a type of release in particular.
  • You can ask to pull up to the basket from a certain specific location (you can give some freedom to the shooter by limiting the areas of shooting for score, shots of 2 points and shots of 3 points).
  • You can limit the number of boats in the 1×1 towards the half court.
