The Full-court 2-on-1 + 3-on-2 Transition Drill is ideal to work with inequalities, numerical, in favor of the attack.
The Drill is attractive since it works inequalities playing with the variation of players involved, playing first a 2-on-1 and then a 3-on-2.

Equipment and facilities

- A pitch whole of Basketball.
- Patches of soil (or cones). Although also the Coach may indicate that the defender of the 2×1 around you, and himself to regulate the distance that the defender has to ‘move up’ to then retrieve.
Initial layout and description
Are placed outside players in a bottom-line and to the interior in the bottom line of the opposite. (2/3 of the players must be ‘listed’ as foreign, and the remaining third as interior).
There are two exterior and drive to the other half court to play a 2×1 (we can put an option for the interior need to curl the cone that indicates the coach, -you can put a number-). The objective of force touch (or even curling) the cones is to put a dose of reality since in the vast majority of counter-attacks the defender does not normally be looking for, but coming.
Once resolved, the that he was defending is in addition to the two attackers and go to the other half court to play a 3×2 against the 2 foreign (here you can also make cones to the exterior). The 2 outer defending spend attackers and are back to start (the inside that attacked it returns to your bottom line and the other two outside are left on your bottom line).
Note: a minimum of restarts the exercise by the 2 defenders who played the 3×2 pass to attack.
In the case of 5, you can do that:the last attacker who touched the ball goes straight down to defend the 2×1.
- the last attacker who touched the ball goes straight down to defend the 2×1.
- the attacker closest to the half court who is poor to defend the 2×1.
- the coach name to one of the attackers who played the 3×2 to come down to defend the 2×1.
Variants
- Another option is that the last attacker who has touched the ball in the 3×2 pass to be defender in the following 2×1.
- To set a maximum of pots by a player.
- To set a maximum number of passes.
- Set a certain number of boats and passes to manage by
- the couple attacker in the 2×1 and/or
- the attacking trio in the 3×2.
- Solve in a given time with countdown (7-5 seconds).
- There is that end with shots inside the bulb.
- There is that end with shots of 3.
Note: all variants are combinable.
