Definition
It is usually generally define a special situation as a game in which the result is, usually, very tight and you will have to carry out an action that has previously been discussed and/or tested.
Add to that that the special situation can also occur despite the fact that the result is not set. In a system of competition of league regular takes into account the difference of baskets (Basket average) and, despite not being set to the result, there may be special situations (both in the first leg, wanting to increase or cut back the difference of points; as in the back wanting to reduce or to ensure the Basket Average).

Overview
To contextualize and know how to handle a special situation must take into account the following fundamental aspects:
- Dead times are available: In the beginning of the game each team has a home 5 times dead (2 in the first two quarters, and 3 in the last two quarters). This detail is important to comment because from the last two minutes of the last quarter, in case of having preserved the 3 dead times of the second part, one is lost. The purpose of the rule is to prevent the end endless that you could come to see up to 6 times dead in less than 2 minutes.
