The Religion of Basketball

ball, angel wings, religion, basketball

The article that follows, ‘The religion of Basketball’, was written by the 30/11/2009.

I don’t believe in any god known. What is more, until it is present, and tell me who it is and what it does, I will continue to maintain this posture. One way or another, every day there are allusions to his person, either in buildings, expressions, and even the insults and most worn by people that suffer from incontinence verbal.
And how do I talk about religion in an article devoted exclusively to the sport of ball basked?

Simply because I see it every time that you live basketball. The fans come on time and with fidelity, all on Saturday or Sunday, to see each meeting of your favorite team and shout all together the same songs and the same slogans. In this country full of contradictions, the village of the children of your father and of your mother, in which we are all equally different, it is heartening and reassuring to know that we can agree with just having a ball in the middle and with a selection champion of the World and of Europe.

But clear, just like we can agree, we can also put to bicker like two fans of the Madrid and Barca in full derby before the faults simulated their respective players (more teatreras in football than in Basketball…), making us both fans blinded and deaf. Discussion and attitude identical to believers who disagree on the veracity of their religion and their god.

However, do not say that religions are to be respected? and what do they do that discussed to impose or to destroy a particular religion?

In regards to the sport, ‘ I am happy that people go out and support your teams, but I don’t think that it is “morally productive” people despotrique against the opponent or the referee adopting the posture of a fanatic, because in the end, the one who loses is the game.
All this is transmitted, unfortunately, a l@s niñ@s below are costumed and sectarizados without knowing the reason for the ritual or the reasons to carry a few certain colors.

All this with a purpose quite immediate to believe, erroneously, that by being more you have more reason. And others, because going back to the primitive times, the tribes that existed were the ones who were more numerous…

going Back to the present, on the court, continues to remain the neo-religion with only one god, that all of us want to go back to playing because it gives them the power and the reason for being, and in this case, of play. Who better to worship their god, perfectly round, and who better treated, comes out winning.
In each play, the players attempt to take care of the ball with mimo. The moment that you undoubtedly more you see these cuddling is when a player throws in a few free shots and before utters a mantra (it can be a syllable, a word, a phrase, or long text) to be recited and repeated will bringing the person to a state of deep concentration, and in the end manages to achieve its goal. In this aspect, it comes to be, as if it were a prayer, or prayer. And the more and better you think, the better it focuses.

Returning to the match, each team has their religion translated into its own strategy and its own standards of performance in certain situations. Some are more conservative and the other more liberal, each of the two with their securities and their risks, their advantages and disadvantages.

However, as much as a player is to sanctify, creates, or pray, do not have any warranty you have the victory assured. Like the followers, for a lot of support, yelling, or even moving to a far off land, do not have the safety of their team to win.

The result depends on an interplay of actions that happen one after the other, all of which are determinants (some with more weight than others), and above all, of the effort of the players to succeed in the decision making and the effectiveness of the technical execution in every gesture.

In the end, the god-ball is only subject to the thoughts and actions of those around you. In the end, he does nothing, but makes people move and think, which is quite an achievement considering that it is inanimate, and that is not pronounced. I don’t believe in any god known.

I believe in basketball because it was introduced and showed me what she was capable of, and because he, better than anyone else, he showed me that every outcome is the result of an action performed with great effort. Because it all depends on one’s self.
It is for this reason that I believe in the sport of Basketball.
