The Shooting is the more difficult fundamental of Basketball to master and requires a continuous refinement. The realization of this technique comes to be the ultimate purpose of the attack. If it is not marked, everything that was previously made, will be forgotten.
Definition of the Shooting
Definition: the Action of throwing the ball with the aim of get in the ring either directly or with the support of the board (Cedric Arregui).
The Shooting is the fundamental of the Basketball more difficult to master and requires a continuous refinement. The launch to the basket it is judged more by the result that by the process: you enter or not enter. Achieves success or fail in the attempt. It is the foundation that brought an end to a control of the ball by the attacking team. Space and time are crucial to achieve an advantage on the defending team, to perform optimal releases to the basket. This advantage is achieved through technical basics (pots, passes, feints and/or the combination of these actions), and of the fundamentals of tactical (systems, locks direct, indirect picks, etc…).
In the Shooting involved a lot of the psychological factor. Have to have confidence in oneself in addition to the hours and hours of practice.
When we talk about the Launch to the basket, it is important that we have these other fundamentals that have been involved in the creation of the Shot since it is not the same as receiving and pull two, 3, or penetrate to the basket or dribble a output and then pull, etc… The improvement of this foundation is essential to increase the confidence of the player since then that confidence comes through in the games.
